I'd love to have a ponytail, but I won't give up my beloved Miniskirt. I'll wait until that glorious day when we convince the Great Powers to give us more choices of hairdos. I'd like a swinging braid like those cool Zo chicks.
In the meantime, do we require Minis to be in minis? Or is the essence of Being Mini something more subtle than the mini itself?
Not that wearing a mini is a particularly onerous requirement to be part of a clan, but, hey, we need some discussion topics around here and if no one else joins in, I will chitchat with myself at great length....

I haven't seen Elise in a Miniskirt since the Christmas party (she may have worn one since I just haven't seen it).. I don't think it's really a pre-requisite.
I'll put on pants every once in a while.

I was admiring Elise's all-red outfit last time I saw her. It's still a bit strange to me to see Minis in pants, even though I haven't technically been a Mini all that long 
Of course, the most important thing is how one's shoes complement one's outfit.... |

I will I will, but really it's her own fault for leaving it lying around the house in a lump like that. In the dark, it looked an awful lot like a big ball of yarn, what's a cat to do? I pounced!

Actually we do have 2 rules and a miniform.
1. Minis are human females.
2. Minis wear minis.
3. The 'official' miniform is purple <womens hut> blouse, tangleberry blue mini & 'ruby' red pumps.

I just noticed this now. I wish that Soulsword didn't make it sound like anything was agreed upon from the beginning. We have no official rules, but like any group of friends, we should be helpful and positive to each other, and enjoy each others' company (most of the time  ). Many members of the clan see the minis as a fun gimmick, though I think most of the clan ought to be in a mini. It's a really *good* gimmick and it helps attract people we tend to get along with. And of course, most of the clan wants to be in a mini anyway. But I think it adds color to the clan to have a small amount of diversity.
Setting up a rule with such a small group of people implies we can't decide for ourselves and come to an agreement as the situation warrants. That is my opinion on it.
Soulsword said these were absolute rules, and what came of it? She attempted to get me and others to remove other valued (and in some cases longtime) members of the clan, simply because of skirt violations.
Does anyone really think our clan would be better off if Elise, Chance, and Callia (and others?) were kicked out? |

Elise and Callia are core members of the Minidom. Kicking them out seems not only superficial but detrimental to the clan.
As I said elsewhere... Minidom is a state of mind, not an article of clothing.
